Term 2 2024

                           Our Highlights!

New Playground

We were very fortunate to receive a $25,000 grant from the Taranaki Electricity Trust to boast our funding to construct our new playground.

At the end of 2023, we asked our ākonga what they would like to see improved in our kura. They all voted on a new playground. We surveyed what they wanted and they suggested swings and the opportunity to be challenged physically. We looked and found three designs and the one we have now was the most popular.

We'd like to acknowledge two  local whānau, the McNamara and Poni-Whakamarurangi whānau that spent hours making the framing and getting the site ready for the bark. Our ākonga helped in moving this and we opened the playground with a formal blessing from Hemi Haddon on the 24th June.
