Rose BattersbyRuma Kākano - Year 1&2rose.battersby@avon.school.nz

Tēnā koutou, I have just joined the team here at Avon School at the beginning of 2023.

I am the kaiako of Kākano room,  with New Entrants to Year two.

I have moved across from Avon Kindergarten so I know many of the tamariki already.  I am really looking forward to becoming part of the Avon community, supporting our tamariki with their learning, developing and getting to know all our whānau.

I enjoy gardening and teaching through real life experiences and hope to share these with the tamariki in my class.

Tēnā koutou, I am very proud to be the Deputy Principal at Avon School and this year I am the Kaiako of an amazing class of Year 3 & 4 students.

I take great pride in building positive relationships with students, their whānau and our school community.

I have been lucky enough to be part of the Avon School family for a number of years almost to the point of being part of the furniture :)

There are so many wonderful things to love about Avon School and it holds a special place in my heart.

Tash CoulsonRuma Māhuri - Year 6 -8tash.coulson@avon. school.nz

Kia ora, I am so excited to be the kaiako of Room 3 this year. I live in Stratford with my husband and our two children who attend Stratford High School. I have a passion for literacy and believe that every child deserves the right to be able to read and write.

I love making my classroom fun and I know that when the students are having fun, they are engaged, and learn at their best.

I have been teaching for 4 years and moved to Avon from Toko School this year.

Please introduce yourself and I look forward to getting to know you all over my time here at Avon School.
